Refer-a-Friend Terms and Conditions

Refer-A-Friend Program: Existing, paying CareerKeeper subscribers (“Referrers”) can refer friends to subscribe to eligible CareerKeeper subscriptions (an eligible subscription includes any plan available for purchase on the homepage of www.careerkeeper.com) (a “CareerKeeper Subscription”) by logging into his/her account on careerkeeper.com and following one of two methods: (1) Referrer completes an online form entering te-mail addresses of those friends he/she wants to refer and an email is sent to the friend(s) containing the Referrer’s unique referral link (“Referral Link”); or (2) Referrer copies his/her Referral Link and sends it to his/her friend(s) by another method, such as SMS, social media or from a personal email account (the “Referral”).


For each friend that purchases a CareerKeeper Subscription directly through a Referrer’s Referral Link, the Referrer will receive a one-time discount off his/her next subscription month. Referrers will receive the discount amount advertised on careerkeeper.com; discounts may vary by city/metro area and are subject to change at any time without notice. Discounts for friends will be applied as the equivalent number (not value) discount in their local currency (for example, a $10 discount would be a £10 in the UK). Referrers must clearly explain to their friends that the Referrer and the friend will receive a discount if their friend proceeds with purchasing a CareerKeeper Subscription within 3 months of receiving the Referral Link.


Referrers: To qualify, Referrers must be paying CareerKeeper Subscribers. When using their Referral Link, Referrers must make sure they clearly explain that they will receive a discount for each referred friend. When sending referral emails through the careerkeeper.com, Referrers must only send to a maximum of five email addresses at a time.


Conditions: Purchasers of CareerKeeper products or services other than a CareerKeeper Subscription are not eligible to receive discounts. CareerKeeper will only honor the first Referral Link through which a friend purchases a CareerKeeper Subscription and which is accepted and processed by CareerKeeper. Therefore, if multiple Referrers have referred the same friend and the friend has activated multiple Referral Links, only one Referrer will be entitled to receive a discount and the friend will only receive one discount. The discount will only be applied to the Referrer of the first Referral Link through which the friend purchased his/her first CareerKeeper Subscription. All other Referrals will automatically be invalidated.


Discounts or Rewards: Rewards may not be (i) combined with other offers, discounts, referrals, or gift cards; (ii) sold or transferred; or (iii) redeemed for cash. For Referrers, this applies even if their membership is canceled before their next subscription month and therefore before any discount has been applied. For Referrers, the maximum discount that can be applied in a given month is equal to the amount the Referrer would have paid for their subscription month if the Refer-A-Friend discounts were not applied. For example, if the Referrer would have paid $100 without the referral discount, then the maximum discount that can be applied in such a month $100. In such a case, any amounts earned above $100 will be applied to the subsequent subscription month fees and will be forfeited in the event the Referrer cancels their subscription before such subsequent month.

 

Refer-A-Friend Program Promotions: From time to time, CareerKeeper may offer special promotions within its Refer-A-Friend Program (“Promotions”) through which Referrers or Friends may receive more generous rewards or discounts by complying with the terms and conditions of such Promotions. Each Promotion will last for a limited time, and each Referrer/Friend may only receive the more generous reward once during any such promotional period. CareerKeeper reserves the right to modify, change, add or remove portions of the terms and conditions of any Promotion at any time without prior notice by posting such amended terms and conditions.

 

General: Referrers and friends must comply with CareerKeeper terms and policies and the terms and policies of any social media site where a referral link is posted/used. Referral Links are for individual, personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes, which for the avoidance of doubt includes but is not limited to affiliate lead generation and bidding on CareerKeeper search terms in connection with the Referral Link. CareerKeeper reserves the right to cancel the Refer-a-Friend Program or to change these terms and conditions at any time in its sole discretion. Any unused Referral Links will be forfeited at that time. By participating in the Refer-a-Friend program you are agreeing to these terms and conditions, the CareerKeeper Terms of Use and the CareerKeeper Privacy Policy. CareerKeeper reserves the right to revoke any discount otherwise disqualifies any Referrer or friend in the event of any suspected fraud or violation of the terms and conditions.
